We're opting for cooperation, the same way we would have played it via screen share essentially. We want a shared base, shared cats, shared resources.
Every player needs their own copy of Mewgenics. The original game files aren't touched: to remove the mod, delete FFB Co-op.exe and the FFB Co-op folder.
We're Fluffy-Fluffy and Bouncy: two friends who have played together since the Warcraft 3 Enfo days, and two software engineers in our spare time.
We keep ending up in management, simulation and turn-based strategy games, and far too many of them are single-player. For years we played those over screen share. Then it hit us: we write software for a living, so why not write the co-op ourselves?
We test the mod by actually playing it together. Most bugs are fixed as soon as we run into them, and every session's logs help us find the rest.
We make these mods because we want to play these games together, and we share them so you can too. No paywalls, now or later.
The plan is to keep adding co-op to more games, whenever we find one we want to play together.
